April 28, 2017

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – On Friday, The Master’s University women’s track & field team concluded its time at the 2017 GSAC Championships.

Morgan Pedrick was named the GSAC Champion and earned All-GSAC honors in the 1,500m after finishing the event in 4:43.98. Commenting on Pedrick’s performance, TMU head coach Zach Schroeder said, “Morgan’s race in the 1500m was incredible! She ran a very intelligent race and outkicked Lindie Dawson from Biola in the last 300m.”

Also in the 1,500m, Rachael Ingoldsby placed seventh overall with a final time of 4:51.71, while Mikala Fairchild followed in eighth in 4:53.44.

TMU’s Tess Thompson competed in the 400m final where she earned All-GSAC honors after placing second with a final time of 59.42. Attesting to her excellence, Friday’s performance marked the third time Thompson ever ran the 400m.

Thompson also competed in the 200m where she placed sixth in 26.72. Thompson’s performance marked a new personal record – impressive as she earlier that day displayed a strong effort in the 400m.
