December 1, 2017

The NAIA honored five The Master’s University women’s soccer players as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes this week: Taylor Rowden, Anna Brazil, Lynnae George, Hailey Gomillion and Suzanne Mabie.

In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.

The Mustangs went 15-6-1 this season, finishing the year in the final 16 of the NAIA national tournament on Tuesday with a loss to Tennessee Wesleyan.  All five of the team’s NAIA Scholar Athletes were also named Golden State Athletic Conference Scholar Athletes.
